A&P Group - Falmouth, Welders / Steelworkers / Fabricators

It's important that our customer's vessels leave our facility in a great physical state and our Welders / Steelworkers / Fabricators are key to ensuring we deliver the highest possible standard for our customers.

We are looking for Welders / Steelworkers / Fabricators to join the team on a full-time, permanent basis and contribute to the continued delivery of these high standards. Experience as a Welder / Steelworker / Fabricator (welder / plater) and / or familiarity with welding techniques (e.g. MMA, MIG, TIG etc.) would be great.

Who we are:

A&P Falmouth is one of the largest ship-repair complexes in the UK, we provide a complete range of marine repair services thanks to our on-site engineering, electrical, paint and fabrication workshops.

What you will do:

  • Fabricate and assemble steel components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Use metalworking machines such as hydraulic presses, rolls, shears, cutting torches, grinders and drills to bend, cut, form, punch, drill or otherwise form steel/aluminium components.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and quality standards.

What we are looking for:

  • Previous experience as a steelworker / fabricator (welder / plater) or in a similar role, and / or familiarity with welding techniques (e.g. MMA, MIG, TIG etc.) would be great.
  • You'll need the ability to understand technical drawings.
  • You'll be able to demonstrate excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • You'll be absolutely committed to ensuring health and safety in your work, we all work safe and go home safe.
  • You'll have excellent teamwork and communication skills, vital for success in the projects that we deliver.
