A&P Tyne – Document Controller

Our quality team form a vital part of our mission to deliver the highest quality of engineering projects to our clients across the commercial marine, major fabrication and defence sectors.

We are looking for a Document Controller to join the quality team in this key role managing and organising critical engineering documents.

It’s a great opportunity for someone who is familiar with document management within a detailed quality management system.

So as a Document Controller at A&P Group, what will you do?

  • You’ll support the Quality Manager to ensure that project manufacturing records are compiled and maintained throughout project lifecycle and collaborate cross functionally to maintain document accuracy
  • Facilitating progressive document review, you’ll be compiling and approving MRBs (manufacturing record books) throughout project lifecycles
  • When it comes to document registers, you’ll control and maintain them, including the project welding database
  • Prior to client inspections you’ll compile and forward evidence packs to clients
  • You’ll review documentation status against project status as well as notifications of inspections before they are submitted to clients
  • Reviewing internal inspection requests, you’ll check for accuracy
  • Reports generated during manufacturing process will be collated by you to deadlines and you’ll check that they are legible and retained within the MRBs
  • You’ll complete and submit weekly status trackers

  • Exposure to root cause analysis would be great
  • Familiarity with quality management systems
  • Experience compiling quality documentation packages
