So, what will you do?

  • Carry out plating operations following work instructions
  • Read drawings to ensure that steel is cut to specification
  • Accurately assemble and ensure that plating is carried out to spec
  • Cut and prepare plates / sections
  • Tack welding
  • Assemble fabrication work to pass to welders for final assembly
  • Work with inspections and quality teams
  • Support training of apprentices and new employees

  • Time served through a recognised training programme, such as an apprenticeship
  • Competency in reading and understanding engineering drawings
  • Competency with equipment, someone who continually trains to meet trade requirements
  • A passion for meeting and exceeding customer requirements
  • Efficiency and productivity with a focus on achieving targets
  • Willingness to take on new challenges to develop competency
